This is Maggie, a West Highland White Terrier who may be going on 15, but you wouldn’t know it looking at her. We decided to take her around Balboa Park to take advantage of some backgrounds I’ve been wanting to use for a while. Here are a few favorites from our shoot together.
And we’re back! Life has been insanely crazy and, unfortunately, things like my participation in the 52 weeks project has waned. That’s all changing this week however. Aside from working on the 52 weeks project again, I also have several other interesting pieces in the works, stay tuned!
So, back to the 52 weeks project. This week’s theme was reflections. First, I was trying to get a cool shot of my reflection in Shorty’s eyes, but I was having trouble. Then, as I was leaving for a late meeting, poor Shorty was giving me this look as if he was just begging to come along. What a little dude, you wouldn’t even know he spend 95% of his day with me.

Hey, check out this cool little guy. His name is Diego and he is definitely one incredibly loved Chihuahua. To top it off, his mother is one of the artists at the best tattoo shop in San Diego, Buju Tattoo! Here are a few of my favorites from our shoot the other day.

Well, it’s a brand new year and I can’t believe what a crazy whirlwind the last month has been. I’ll save all the deets for a later post but I will say that we celebrated a milestone recently. Shorty just turned one! So it was appropriate that the first 52 Weeks project theme was “our pets.” I thought it would be fun to show a picture I took of him the day I got him (the one on the left) and contrast it with one I took today. He’s grown so much (well, not literally, he’s still a little dude, but you get the idea).

This week’s theme for the Beautiful Beasties 52 Weeks project was “water”. It was a blustery 65 degrees here in San Diego (brrrr!), but Shorty and I still managed to get out and take some photos playing in the ocean. I wanted to get more of a straight silhouette for a project I am working on, but that didn’t quite work out. I do, however, love just love his ears in this shot!
